I have finally found something that keeps Ainsley busy for more than 30seconds. Yes, you did not mis read, 30 seconds is her idle saturation point!!
Yesterday Karen gave Bailey, Corey and Emily haircuts, and she had a squirt bottle. Ainsley loved it...she played literally for hours outside in the beautiful weather squirting the ground, the dog, the wall and all of us...well I thought it was a one shot deal...that today or any other day for that matter it wasn't going to get her attention...at all....outside of the 2 hours she slept today, she has been out there doing the same thing as yesterday...AMAZING!! Her and Emily fill it up and take turns emptying it on Corey, the dog or whatever gets in their path...
Praise God for the small things in life. My mother in law used to encourage me to just give Emily rolled up tape and cardboard boxes, even rolled up aluminum foil...that I couldn't handle, Em used to chew on it...I know all of you are cringing right now...sorry!! Anyway she was right, why spend money on toys? I remember playing in the back yard when I was young and we had gotten a new fridge...it was my castle....or the washer and drier boxes...we used to have huge spools too that we had races on...good times....simple life. I love it!!!

I completely agree! Aaron's fave toy is an old pill bottle with a couple of quarters in it....hours of fun! No need for all those fancy toys! His other favorite....a spoon for each hand that he emphatically bangs on our wood floor for the longest time, laughing and smiling the entire time! I love it!
That is awesome...its crazy that things that are not there toys hold there attention for so much longer. One time I gave micah an old magazine and he teard it up for like a 1/2 hour...who needs toys?
