Isaiah 41:1
Our lives cannot be sustained without renewal from GOD. Just as we need food to prevent our bodies from wasting away, our souls need the Word of God. If our piety can live without God it is not divinely created by God but a fantasy; for if God had begotten it, our piety would wait upon Him as the the flowers wait upon the dew. Without constant restoration we are not ready for the perpetual assaults of hell, or the stern afflictions of heaven, or even the strifes within.
-Charles H. Spurgeon
This was my devotion this morning...without God and constant renewal of the Holy Spirit daily, I will die!!! Will I have food to eat to sustain my body, sure but my soul and spirit will be starved therefore I will have nothing to offer or pour onto my family and friends...selfishness will set in, greed and carnal choices will take over...the Word of God is my nourishment.

Wow that was pretty awesome. Im glad you shared that. It so so true. I can feel my body and soul drag when I stop letting God pour into me and as a result sin pours out instead. Man! Thanks Shaina!
This is so true, I think we all need to here this truth daily. We can so easily become carnal and numb to the fact that our soul needs Jesus daily in order to love, live and enjoy life to the fullest. Who am I to think I can serve and live this Christian life on my own. Thanks Shaina :)
